Product Specialist (Technical Sales) urgently required for important position within an energy analytics software company.
You will be based in the UK and be part of a highly talented European team. You will work as a remote worker, so it's vital you can work independently without lots of guidance. There will be some travel (20% - 40%).
The successful candidate will come from a technical background (maybe with a Maths, Science or Engineering degree) and may have some C# programming experience (or willing to learn it). However this is not a programming role but mainly used to get under the bonnet of the product and make some minor adjustments to the code.
In this position you will work closely with the Head of Technical Sales and be responsible for taking the lead when it comes to setting up detailed demos of the product for their customers (the product demo is usually the final stage in the sale cycle so lots goes into it!). They need someone who can bring it all together.
You will have excellent client facing skills and may come from a consultancy or technical sales background. Any experience around energy utilities, enterprise asset management, analytics or any complex enterprise software is highly beneficial.
Other responsibilities include:
- Solution Architecture (developing technical solutions, project scoping, and enterprise architecture for prospective customers)
- Technical Expertise (completing proposals and responding to RFxs. Being the technical point of contact within sales the process working closely with sales executives and the product development teams).
